New Year, New You

We all have those New Year’s resolutions we want to accomplish and check off our list.  I have rounded up 5 ways to get ready for your best year yet!!

  1. Dream Board

Dream Boards are probably the best thing you can do to start off the new year! I love to find inspiration that can relate to certain goals I may have for the month as well as for throughout my year.  Keep your board in a place where you are able to see it daily.  You can also spend a few moments each morning to reflect on each category of your board.  This way your dreams and goals will constantly be on your mind and not forgotten.

Pinterest and Instagram are  my favorite places to get all the content/inspo for my board. They have great quality pictures.  I print the photos and place them on my wall above my work desk under specific categories, such as work, family, travel, etc.

Tip: If you are more of a digital person, Instagram now allows you to save photos and categorize them! I have one specifically for “2019 Goals!”

  1. New Eyewear

Who doesn’t love a fresh new pair of glasses? Eyewear is the first thing people see when they look at you – sunglasses and ophthalmic eyewear. Bringing in a new pair to your collection will update your look, keep your eyes protected, and encourage you to step outside your comfort zone in 2019.

Tip:  A great 2019 eyewear trend that I am looking forward to is color!  Be brave and stand out in bright hues that pop.  The Pantone color of the year is Coral.

  1. New Lenses

A must have new lens is the new ZEISS UVProtect Technology Lenses. These lenses have the capability to completely block UV rays for full UV protection of the eyes and surrounding skin. These clear, all day lenses offer you the same UV protection as sunglasses! Satisfaction of new lenses while still staying protected is a must for the new year.  Seeing more clearly and being protected gets two thumbs up from this Eye Doctor.

Tip:  All Zeiss lenses come with this new technology.  Make sure to ask your Eye-care Provider for Zeiss lenses when placing your new lens order.

  1. Self-Care Regimen

Life can get so hectic!  Between being a new Mom, running several businesses, and traveling I can forget to take care of me. One of my favorite things to do is to just take a little extra time on some self-care. This can be an extra 10 minutes a day – trying a new face mask or simply enjoying the process of putting on your skincare. It’s the little things that can add up to giving yourself the attention you deserve.

  1. Saving Money

This can seem like one of the most obvious things to do to start off your year. However, it can also be one of the hardest things to do. One of my favorite things to do is to look at my bank statements from the previous year and try to eliminate things I don’t need to be spending extra money on.  For example, last January I noticed I was spending way too much money on green juices.  Seven Dollars a day can really add up.  This January I have made a commitment to making my own green juice at home, it only costs me $7 every 2 weeks on fresh veggies.

However you choose to start the New Year, remember to always give love and respect to yourself.  With that you are able to conquer whatever comes your way in 2019!
